Jaycee Building & Electrical Contractors is a family orientated business, with over 40 years experience in the construction industry, working within the Chalfonts and Home Counties area.

Jaycee was established in 1990 by Jack Smith A.I.M.B.M. (Associate of the Institute of Maintenance and Building Management), and specialises in high-spec extensions, conservatories, loft conversions, garages and window replacements.

Dale Turnham, Jack Smith's son-in-law and business partner, is site working foreman on all projects carried out by Jaycee.

Bob Gibbs, Jaycee's Electrical Manager, is qualified to self-certify electrical work under Part "P"' of the 2005 edition of the Building Regulations. Bob is also an electrical tutor and assessment examiner at Amersham & Wycombe College.

Jaycee will see the project through all its stages. From feasibility and specification, to planning, construction, and completion.

Jaycee is a member of the Federation of Master Builders (the sign of building quality) and a Corporate Member of The Guild Of Master Craftsmen.

The FMB MasterBond Warranty

As a member of the Federation of Masters Builders all our work is carried out to a very high standard and new work is guaranteed by an insurance backed warranty. It is a comprehensive third party insurance scheme to protect our customers' interests and at the same time enhance the professional status and credibility of Jaycee. The MasterBond Warranty has recently been enhanced and extended from five years to ten, making it even more attractive to customers.

What's in it for our customers?
These days people are looking for all the reassurance and protection they can get whenever they make a major purchase. We all expect the offer of an extended warranty on almost everything from cars to computers. At the same time however, horror stories in the press about cowboy builders have created an environment in which many people are afraid to commission building work without some kind of proof of competence. That's why more and more customers warm to the idea of having a Warranted Builder handle their project and welcome the concept of third party protection against the things that could go wrong.

As an FMB registered builder, we are already offering proof of our professionalism, but by showing that we are a Warranted Builder it raises our game even further. Commercial clients in particular find reassurance in the fact that a builder has passed the acceptance checks and criteria of the MasterBond Warranty Board. In many areas, local authorities insist that grant-assisted domestic work is only carried out by Warranted Builders and compile tender lists only from builders offering the scheme.

How does it work?
There is an FMB leaflet which explains the benefits of the MasterBond Warranty Scheme and this is passed to our customers when we submit our quote. If they decide to place work under warranty, the scheme will be administered efficiently by the FMB and cover begins as soon as work starts.

By offering the MasterBond Warranty Scheme we are providing an extra level of reassurance that customers are increasingly looking for.
